Marni´s Autumn/Winter 2025-2025 Collection

A Jazz-Infused Celebration of Art, Fashion, and Imagination Behind the Scenes and on the Runway

Marni AW25 transformed the runway into an intimate jazz club, blending sculptural designs, vibrant artistry, and a backstage buzzing with creativity—culminating in Tracee Ellis Ross’ show-stopping runway moment.

Marni’s Autumn/Winter 2025-2026 collection, unveiled at Milan Fashion Week, was a vibrant fusion of art and fashion. Creative director Francesco Risso transformed the runway into an impromptu jazz club, featuring live music and an intimate atmosphere. The collection drew inspiration from a month-long artistic residency in London with Nigerian artists Slawn and Soldier, resulting in collaborative artworks that adorned both the garments and the show’s setting.

The designs showcased sculptural elements, including oversized floral motifs painted on suits, whimsical knitwear like bumblebee sweaters, and wool coats with cocoon-like silhouettes. Each piece told its own story, with prints depicting narratives such as a pack of good-luck wolves. Risso described the collection as a “seed vault” for future creations, aiming to preserve the essence of Marni.

A highlight of the event was actress Tracee Ellis Ross gracing the runway in an electric yellow, pop art-style gown. Ross, a longtime friend of Risso, expressed that the dress made her feel like a “slinky, foxy, burst of sunshine.” Her participation added a dynamic energy to the show, blending celebrity allure with high fashion.

Behind the scenes, the atmosphere was charged with creativity and collaboration. Models, including Amelia Gray, Paloma Elsesser, and Dara Allen, prepared to showcase the collection’s high-volume silhouettes and vibrant colors. The backstage area buzzed with activity as artists and designers made final adjustments, ensuring each piece reflected the show’s artistic vision.

This season, Marni seamlessly blended artistic collaboration with innovative design, offering a collection that is both reflective and forward-thinking.
