As you would normally expect from a Six Senses property, location is unique. Just a 45-minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City, you will find Six Senses Con Dao, the first top-rated luxury beach resort in Vietnam’s archipelago islands.

Con Dao Island has a spectacular beautiful setting in a protected national and marine park. In addition, it was recently declared as Vietnam’s only marine Ramsar Convention environmental site.

With the advantage of the island not being very developed and relatively new to tourist, you will find a great place to relax and disconnect. As the brand likes to emphasize, it’s close to Vietnam´s mainland, but a world away from the everyday life with golden sand and blue sapphire sea as a plus to a perfect vacation package.

The concept of Six Senses Con Dao is to bring the essence of a traditional Vietnamese fishing village. By doing so, the resort has its own replica high street with a shop, restaurant, bar and more which makes this area the heart of the resort.

With this concept spread across the property and a contemporary design, the hotel has 50 private pool villas and residences built from reclaimed teakwood and sustainable materials. All are set just a few steps away from a pristine stretch of beach.

From single-level to duplex, and offering one, two, three, or four bedrooms, all the villas and residences have infinity pools and secluded outdoor bathrooms, wood paneling, and natural ventilation to reduce the need for air-conditioning. The decoration is neutral to match the wooden walls and some details that gives a special touch to the villa, such as the hanging towel rails made of rope.

Gastronomy options in Six Senses Con Dao goes from authentic Vietnamese cuisine to contemporary international dining.

Starting up at the “fishing village” is the Vietnamese By The Market where guests can experience traditional and wholesome local food with a range of daily specials.

Going down to the shore is By The Beach Restaurant with an extensive offering including classic international dishes, also taking advantage of the freshly caught seafood. Here is also where breakfast is served with many buffet options in addition to a special Vietnamese street food section with some stations changing daily.

Another popular option is the Destination Dining with a private dining experience in multiple exclusive places.

When it comes to attractions and activities, there are many options to choose from inside the property and around the island. Experiences such as clam collecting, island escapes and picnics on the beach are just a few of what the team has to offer to personalize your experience. Sustainability is within the DNA of every Six Senses property and wouldn´t be different for Con Dao. A top one here would be the “Be a Farmer” for a day, at their own Chicken Villa, where you can get to feed the chickens and learn traditional harvesting methods.

When you think about Six Senses, the Spa is always a surprise. In Con Dao, it is strategically located on the shadows of the spectacular Lo Voi Mountains and surrounded by tropical gardens, with a yoga pavilion and outdoor treatment rooms.

For the treatments, apart from the traditional Vietnamese Massage, one of the highlights is the Island Coffee Treatment. This one consists in a detoxifying body scrub using Vietnamese Buon Ma Thuot coffee and local sea salt blended with carrot and coconut oil to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. To complete the treatment, a fresh coffee mask with citrus is then applied to detox and purify the body.

There are also Wellness Programs available for guests. To create these programs, Six Senses combines pioneering science and ancient techniques to address modern day concerns. You can choose from three options available (Boost Your Immunity, Mind Your Brain and Love Your Heart) with the goal to achieve a healthy, balanced body and mind during your stay and sustain it once you return home as a fresh new routine
