080 Barcelona Fashion Week: The Artelier

From an early age, Alba Ayza had eagerness for drawing and illustrating any type of characters at any time. Afterwards this fact was what led him to study illustration and discover his passion for fashion. Born in Barcelona, Alba was licensed in fashion design at LCI. During her apprenticeship she worked in various fashion print business. In the last year of her career, she designed and created a fashion collection named “VIDA – Poesía eres tú” which guided her to create a sustainable and colorful brand, The Artelier, a mixture of “Art” and “Atelier”.

The Artelier was born in 2020 as a prêt-à-porter label with creativity, innovation and quality as the key pillar words. She presented her new collection fall/winter in 080 Fashion Week 29th called Avant which narrates the history of the relation between the designer and her grandmother, emphasizing all the time that was missing and everything she couldn’t do by her side and remained only in their minds. Alba wants to transmit through every garment the importance of spending time with our beloved ones, realizing that everything is ephemeral.

We know that when we talk about The Artelier, we talk about commitment and transparency. It’s a must knowing that have a km0 production and their products are created with certified sustainable materials. They also claim that are showing all the production process of their clothes and their costs in networks and websites. They affirm that is “because we care about doing things well and for this we will seek the best possible resolution committed to our values.” We can find a mix of tulle and organza textures and also big oversize coats that give the comfort that anyone needs.

The fashion film of this collection reports a fashion lunch with a toast of prints and colors. A poetic and dynamic union ending with an after party as every party/celebration.
